At this point, we all know the sheer volume of labor that goes into creating a look for the first Monday in May. For the 2024 neka==, Gigi Hadid’s Thom Brown dress was covered in 2.8 million micro beads by hand; Karlie Kloss’s was covered in nearly 250,000 test

But attendees have looks prepared for all Met-related situations—not just the Gala itself. As celebrities prepare to leave New York, or just hang around, they have to take into account the absolute scene that leaving their hotel entails. With dedicated paparazzi and even more dedicated fans stationed outside the hotspots (The Mark and The Carlyle among them), photos galore are expected. So it’s no surprise that Met guests are still hoping to look their best long after the night ends.

Some opted for comfy clothes for their upcoming flights, or in an attempt to keep a low profile. Kendall Jenner donned a lowkey T-shirt and yoga pants while leaving The Greenwich Hotel, and Adwoa Aboah bared her newly debuted baby bump in a cropped tee and track pants. Still, even under-the-radar looks were attention-grabbing. Jennie Kim wore baggy jeans and a brown knit hoodie with a Chanel baseball cap. Others committed to the sartorial spirit, dressing up for the crowds. Sydney Sweeney stepped out in New York wearing a strapless Rokh set, and Jack Harlow wore a suit.

Below, see what celebrities are wearing in the aftermath of the 2024 Met Gala.
