The brainchild of artist and model Prasant Tamrakar, the Nepal Fashion Festival promises to be a groundbreaking event for the country's fashion scene. Scheduled for May 24th to 26th at the Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Lalitpur, the festival aims to not only showcase Nepali fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, but also empower young people and women, and create a bridge between Nepal's skilled artisans and international markets.
The three-day extravaganza will feature a variety of events, including fashion runway shows, insightful panel discussions and seminars, and a captivating fashion photo exhibition. Attendees can expect to see the latest collections from Nepal's top designers and brands, alongside indigenous products, all while soaking up the festival's focus on market connections and seller empowerment.
The excitement doesn't stop there. The festival even held a model audition, with a prestigious panel including Jurima Kalakar, Prasant Tamrakar himself, beauty entrepreneur Deepa Gurung, Miss Nepal Earth Dr. Shirisa Shrestha, fashion designer Yuvi Thapa, and photographer Raj Bhai Suwal.
